In February 2006, Cayuse founder Chris Harker faced the imminent departure of his contract bookkeeper. Chris and Gloria met, discussed the situation and agreed on a transition plan. Accomplishments at Cayuse include:

  • Quickly mastered monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements of SBIR grant funder NIH.
  • Made system revisions to address company’s transition from research to commercialization
  • Influenced decision to embrace SAS deployment vs enterpise model
  • Tracked deferred subscriber revenue to insure company paid taxes on earned revenue only
  • Captured R&D investment for research tax credit.
  • Helped recruit, screen and train new staff to assume the accounting responsibilities. 
Today, Gloria returns quarterly to review the books and continues to advise the management team on financial matters.
